Just discovered an online "radio station" and it's pretty groovy. Of course, you have to be in the mood for 60s stuff, with a little 50s and 70s thrown in. Big hits, but mostly lesser stuff, music you never hear on oldies' stations.
I love music from all eras and thankfully have a big library of them at home but I've never found an oldies station I enjoyed.
Most of them play the same insipid crap over and over again which is fine if you can survive on a musical diet of the Captain & Tenille and Paul Anka or endless Beach Boys ditties ...not that there's anything wrong with the Beach Boys ...they're just not my style.
Anyway, this station kicked off with a nice little slice of Chicago soul which sold me on it right away. After listening to a few more obscure tunes (well, obscure as far as typical oldies stations go), I've decided to bookmark it.
Good find, Norma!
