  1. This is damn near as amazing at the Garland/Streisand appearance!

  2. Thank you for finding those color images. Sometimes its hard for us old timers to remiember that the world was full of color before your parents went out and bought a color TV set for your home.

  3. It's pretty astonishing. I think the Supremes did much better than the old broads.

  8. Fabulous! I never knew about this. What a great amassing of vocal power on one stage.

  9. Wow, what a fabulous find!!! I've loved the Andrews/Supremes medley for a long time, but these color candids are treasures.

I, too, think that Diana, Mary and Flo totally won this particular round: even though I'm not one for revisionist history and claiming that Flo was some sort of misunderstood vocal genius, she was a big part of making the Supremes' harmonies sound so fantastic here. Patty, Maxene and Laverne make the mistake of denigrating the "current" material, and camping/cutesing it up way too much.
