  4. Dry socket is the worst. Have you gone back to the oral surgeon to have the tissue cut so a new scab will form?

    1. oh my, no one ever mentioned that. i think we're scabbing as i type.

    2. Oh, yeah. The oral surgeon makes a cut, the pocket fills with a wee amount of blood and the pain STOPS. Then it scabs over and you are on the road to healing. (I know this because it happened to my friend, Sharon.)

  5. Have any extra Vicodin? Uh, I'm asking for "a friend."

  6. I say have them all pulled!
Just leave the odd one, so you can open a can of beans in an emergency!

  7. Clove oil...

Later I will kid you about the part where you are rich enough to afford dry socket...
I'm now looking for some fishing line and a brick...

    1. yes, i have a bottle of clove oil. can't say it did much though.

as for being rich enough, i'm not. and besides, i had little choice. the part that was above the gum broke off. no amount of string would've gotten it out.

now i need to wrap my head around implants. boy do i wish i were rich now.

    2. I have three implants and can highly recommend the end results. The only downside is the expense.

    3. What size implants are you getting, Norma? Don't go up more than 3 cup sizes, or you'll look cheap.

  11. Refrain from hard sucking for a couple of days at least.

  12. You poor darling. I'll second what Jason said, except noting, as the expert, vicodin is much easier on your stomach than percocet.

  13. Might I suggest regular rinsing with warm salty fluid...

  14. If you are taking any type of prescribed narcotic for pain, get lots of fiber and water. On top of all this, you don't need impacted bowls. This has been a message from you Aunt Cookie.

  15. I just went through this. If I'd known they could go back in and do a tiny cut and it'd fix the pain, I'd have jumped at that shit. Clove oil and pain pills rank a poor second to weeks of feeling like shit. C'mon. I'll drive you there.

  16. Yes yes poor baby. I've had this too, the pain is intense and pounding. Cal your dentist ASAP and get back in there. It is a quick fix and almost instant relief. Then as someone else mentioned NO SUCKING!
