The Day is Bitter
I feel like shit. I've got a lousy toothache that will probably mean root canal or something equally as delightful. I have no patience to post, but feel I must let you know that I went and saw A Star is Born Thursday night at the Heights Theatre. Amazingly, I'd never seen the entire film, though upon viewing realized that I'd seen quite a lot of it, pieces here and there. I loved it. I loved seeing it nice and BIG up there on the screen. Was very very impressed with Mason's performance. His Norman was quite nuanced. Of course, I loved Judy, but thought she looked old and became quite sad when I realized that she was probably 31 years old! Time for Vicodin....and none for you Judy!

ReplyDeleteOh, I envy you (and empathize with the tooth thingy, dear) - it played here in NYC, of course, but I had a prior commitment and couldn't make it. Would have loved to have seen it on the big screen.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better, dumpling.
The husband and I watched "A Star is Born" along with the Judy Davis bio-pic of Garland the other night. A few cocktails fueled the fire.
ReplyDeleteNorma, feel better soon and take care of your tooth.
from my drugged haze, thank you one and all!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping it's just sympathy pains for Judy and nothing to serious.
ReplyDeleteSweetness,
