Jacqueline Brookes 1930-2013

Like this link of yore, Jacqueline is yet another face
we often saw on television or in a film.

Spotted her obit today. Not a news item, just a paid notice.

I scrutinized her credits at imdb and none of her roles
particularly stood out to me, but I always recognized her and her unique voice.
Not warm & fuzzy, maybe even a bit patrician, but it made her stand out.

Familiar faces from old television.

I found these (among many others) at The Digital Deli Too. It's their homage to long forgotten radio stars who filled the ranks of many episodes of Perry Mason. I chose just some of the ladies I grew up knowing because their faces were always on this or that TV show.

94 years ago today...

..Mary Jane Croft arrived In Muncie, Indiana.

She must've been a great actress. I always loved when she was featured, but at the same time, I couldn't stand her. Lucie Arnaz was quoted as saying that she wasn't at all the ditsy blonde she portrayed. But gawd, that voice.
