I'm rummaging through the boxes....

...and when I do, I'm bound to find exactly what I'm not looking for.

As you can see, this is an envelope...that I swiped, yes, swiped, back in the early 80s. I was a go-fer at Tandem/TAT which became Embassy. Norman Lear's place. This envelope was from the show, "All That Glitters" which switched male and female roles. Women were in charge and the men were at home, baking muffins. I did watch it and I recall it having a "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman" kind of feel. Of course, it never caught. Interestingly, it had some groovy folks in the cast. Eileen Brennan, Anita Gillette, Linda Gray, Chuck McCann, Lois Nettleton and Jessica Walter. So yes, I took this envelope, but I left the Joey Stivic doll exactly where it was. I mean, I'm not a crook.

  1. I'm not a crook.

Wasn’t it Richard Nixon who said the same thing?

  3. I recall that address as being the one-time production lot of KTTV channel 11. It's about three blocks from my house.

Sadly it has been torn down and is now a High School.

  4. felix, you're correct about that address. i spent a drop of time there, but my actual stint took place over at the universal lot when they moved.
