I'm guessing Ann.
ReplyDeleteAbby's would have an open bottle and cocktail glasses on the side table.
I'm changing my name to "Nubby Olefin Tweed."
My grandmother had a set like this in a spare bedroom. She kept religious statues and a sick call set on the corner table and used this as a prayer room. The covers were a large and somewhat abstract floral print with red and green on a black background. I spent many occasion kneeling in front of it.
ReplyDeleteokay nubby, whatever you say.
ReplyDeletehayward, maybe it's time to recreate gram's shrine and.....no, forget the shrine, but do revisit that kneeling thing.
I never understood. Back in the day you could NEVEH invite a girl (if you were a boy, or vise versa) to sit with you on your bed, yet it was perfectly fine to invite them to sit with you on this bed, designed to "look" like a couch, simply because it had bolsters.
ReplyDeleteLuckily I had not resistance from my parents at all when it came to getting another guy on a bed...
argh! My eyes, my eyes!
ReplyDelete"Do you think Abby or Ann had this in their rumpus room?"
ReplyDeleteNo, but WE did in 60's/70's Long Island, in a navy blue and gray plaid print slipcover. Oh those bolsters, I miss them sooooo!
Where can I find one?
