  1. I saw Playten steal the show in a secondary role in the musical Henry, Sweet Henry in 1967. She was amazing. I have never forgotten her. I had not known that she was not with us anymore.

  2. Aww that's sad. I loved her squeeky voice. I miss all those 70's commercial ladies.

Do you remember the long haired red head with the nasal New York accent lady that was in dozens of commercials? I wish I could remember the products she hawked.

  6. Lovely gal. And what's more, an Off-Broadway actress who's on strike along with Dr. Norman Vincent Peale! Oh please bring back interesting talk shows where they actually talk and not sell there latest project.

    RIP Miss Playten.

  7. oh, aye....when i've rewatched the match game (as i did this morning) i wondered about miss deutsch & why she was there. and speaking of that game, Gary Burgoff was in charles' seat today and brett called him, "mary." everyone went with the flow, it was adorable.

  10. I've already had to cross "cheese balls" off my dinner party menu over at AyeM8y's.

Now I'm crossing off marshmallow meatballs.
