  1. I've been chatting with Mitzi about the same subject. How funny and a bit sad to be ushered out with Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead?

I said it before but I have to give it to Old Iron Sides, at least she didn't pretend not to have been evil. And she looked the part too.

Today it's getting harder to tell who is evil because they have it erased off their face.

  3. I find it funny Wally's household was spinning out of control and landed...and now the Iron Lady is dead. Coincidence. I think not.

  4. I can only reiterate: I find it sickening.

As The Daily Mash puts it, so accurately:

"Thousands of people under 35 are rejoicing at the demise of a woman they once read about.

Following Lady Thatcher’s death, people who want to look impressively ‘political’ are acting like they remember Thatcher as something other than a vague abstract concept of evil."

I have been mourning her since she left office. Blair's evil was greater, but as ayeM8y says, he hid it well (for a while).

Thought - if Margaret Thatcher had not been female, would the vitriol have been so utterly spiteful?

  5. I remember the 80s well, Thatcher in the UK, Kohl in Germany. She run the politics of de-regulation - very nice, its the basis for the wild capitalism we have now; gave the blueprint for others to follow in Europe.
She did not understand what happened 1989, having a picture of Germany still from the wartime and it needed some work to make her accept the German borders. No I never liked her. No need to dance on her grave, she was a relic, her time was gone when she stepped out of office 1990 or 91 - and that was good.
