JUST SICK ABOUT JOAN

A THOUGHT JUST CROSSED MY SMALL MIND... MELISSA MAY VERY WELL
END UP ON QVC HAWKING MOTHER'S BEE JEWELRY.

  1. Yikes, hadn't thought of that. I'm not sure what is making me sick, Joan's passing, or the gin intake. But on the bright side, the mortician will have very little work to do.

  2. I doubt we'll be much troubled by little Melissa. She's never had her Mother's liability.

  3. RIP, Joan.
Still puzzled by the double act with Peter Cook though.

  4. I mostly think of Rivers early pioneering standup on Carson's Tonight Show. RIP Joan.

  5. Thankfully, I think it'll be David Dangle.
Yes, I'm ashamed I know that.
Good God, I miss her already.

    1. i didn't know who mr. dangle was, but google fixed that.

i'm insane....i imagined what the shiva was like all day long. i also cannot get over the fact that she was cremated. surprises me. my god, she spent a fortune on that flesh...and to just burn it up?

  6. I remember watching Joan's QVC debut in 1990. She and Kathy Levine were a funny pair. They kept me entertained during lonely evenings for years. By the way, Melissa had her own jewelry line on the Q (silver jewelry) and she never seemed really comfortable in hawking it. I'm sure they'll have her partner David Dangle do the shows from now on. I already miss Joan.

  7. i was barely a QVC watcher, but i do remember those days and kathy LaVIGNE (or something like that). it may have been pronounced levine, but it sure wasn't spelt that way and that amused me to no end.

i spent sunday thinking about the funeral and shiva. that joan died in the week that i lost my two best friends, one in 9/5/88, the other 10 years later (almost to the day) 9/8/98 almost killed me!
