THIS HAPPENED TODAY AND I'D LOVE TO KNOW YOUR OPINION.
WENT INTO DUNKIN' DONUTS TO GET AN ICED COFFEE. I HAVE A HARD TIME GETTING ICED COFFEE AT PLACES LIKE THIS, McDONALD'S AS WELL, WHEN IT COMES TO ANSWERING THE QUESTION, DO YOU WANT CREAM IN THAT?
YES, I LIKE CREAM, SOME CREAM, NOT TOO MUCH CREAM. THESE FAST FOOD JOINTS LOVE TO MAKE THE COFFEE 1/2 COFFEE, 1/2 CREAM. BLECHH.
IT'S ALWAYS A PROBLEM TRYING TO DESCRIBE WHAT I WANT.
TODAY AS I ORDERED MY COFFEE AND THE CLERK ASKED ME THE CREAM QUESTION, IN THAT SPLIT SECOND I DECIDED I WAS GOING TO SAY,
"I LIKE THE COFFEE THE COLOR OF BEYONCE."
BUT THERE WAS A YOUNG GUY (A LOVELY SHADE OF MOCHA) ALSO BEHIND THE COUNTER JUST STANDING THERE. IN THE NEXT SPLIT SECOND I SAID,
"I LIKE MY COFFEE THE COLOR OF HIM."
WELL, THINGS TURNED QUITE FROSTY. I BEGAN TALKING NON-STOP, APOLOGIZING, SAYING I MEANT NOTHING DEMEANING ABOUT MY REMARK. ULTIMATELY, THIS YOUNG GUY JUST SAID TO ME THAT IT WAS A WEIRD THING TO SAY.
I DON'T DISAGREE. BUT I DON'T THINK IT WAS RACIST. WAS IT?
I'M GOING TO VISIT MY LOCAL BENJAMIN MOORE STORE,
GET SOME COLOR SWATCHES & KEEP THOSE IN MY WALLET.
OH NO! I WAS JUST GOING TO POP OVER TO PEENEE'S BLOG TO SNATCH A PHOTO OF ONE OF HIS MOCHA BEAUTIES & PEENEE'S BLOG IS GONE!!

ReplyDeleteNow meanwhile my dear, your dilemma. I don't think you said anyone wrong, but many misconstrue too much these days. I think it's funny, but no one has a sense of humor these days. Half the time I walk around like Lisa Lampanelli saying shit. Like for me I like coffee black and would say I want my coffee black, like the black dick I such down at the corner gloryhole. I 'd like to say that!!!
Jokes aside....I drink my coffee iced too. I now make my own for reasons you state. Most places put way too much cream in for my liking. If I do go to one of these places, I ask for mostly coffee with about a quarter of milk at the top. And hopefully they don't think I'm a pain in the ass, and there not jerking another cream into my coffee. But who knows for sure...could be why it had a familiar smell.
From what I saw at Peenee's Wordpress blog, I got the feeling that he didn't sneak out the back door, but was maybe shown the door He did usually post a penis or two. 🙀

DeleteYes....your right....peenee was fond of a penis or 6....I wonder...did WordPress have issues with penis....like were they getting censorship about things? Soon we will be walking around with those 🚫 over our mouths!!!! Then look out. If I can't say what I think, it manifests itself and comes out in other parts, which could be just as embarrassing.

ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, Mr Peenee was suspended from WordPress, so many of us WordPressers decided that we'd like to try exporting our blogs to BlogSpot and help Mr Peenee convert his export file to a file that Blogger would be able to read. Sadly we have yet to find a converter.
Apologies, that sounds more complicated than it needed to be! In a nutshell, some of us are returning to Blogger.

I'm old enough to remember when Peenee said FU to Blogger & happily relocated to WordPress. I made a feeble attempt to move as well (I bet my feeble-ness still exists on WP) but I'm too old to even think about it. Let's just hope he's okay.

DeleteBlogger has "unpublished" several of my old posts, deeming that I've violated their guidelines. Apparently, if I update the content to adhere to their guidelines, they'll consider republishing the posts.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to publish a blog post about this but I don't have enough energy to throw a post together at the moment. So it seems to me (based on Peenee's experience and my experiece) that both WordPress AND Blogger are cracking down.
I had that issue recently too, Mistress. Scared me half to death. It turned out to have nothing whatsoever to do with censorship, merely that a few of the external websites I had posted links to had subsequently been hacked and redirected to some very dodgy places with viruses and such. I removed those links, and Google immediately unblocked my posts. Jx

That's fascinating Jon! I have a Tumblr app, but rarely visit. Sadly I spend too much time at Twitter & I'm guessing that will change in the future. Threads doesn't have a desktop version yet, which is what I prefer.
DeleteAnd as for problems, I can no longer use the antiquated Safari with Blogger. I need to use Chrome, which I don't usually use. And then because I never wanted to link everything Google together I have 10,000 different accounts and it's a nightmare.
I use Firefox. With Adblock Plus. It's so much easier... Jx
DeleteJoh, Blogger won't let me type a reply to your reply. I had to start a new thread. Anyway, I thank you for your input. That's good to know. Unfortunately, I don't have the energy to examine each post (there are loads of them) and fix them in accordance with Blogger's wishes. Sigh.
